Mera Peak, located at the edge of Khumbu region is a famous and demanding peak climbing mountain in our country and every year thousands of trekkers and mountaineers reach to the summit of this mountain in search of true adventure and fun. A trek to the summit of Mera peak is especially designed for those trekkers and mountaineers who wish to climb to one of the summits of our country and also want an experience on climbing the highest mountains of our country. One with a moderate trekking experience can easily complete this trek.
Mera peak offers the visitors with the spectacular view of snowcapped mountains including some of the highest mountains of the world such as Everest, Lhotse, Chamlang, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, Baruntse, Cho-oyu, Kantega, Nuptse and other many beautiful mountain ranges. You will also get an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of people living in this region. One should need a good physical stamina and good climbing experience to reach to the summit of this beautiful mountain. You will get some climbing skills and technique from our professional guides in the base camp which will help you to reach to the summit of this mountain.
The journey to trek to Mera peak starts with a short and scenic flight to the south of Lukla. This short flight offers the great views of Himalayan ranges form the aircraft. We will then start our trek from South Lukla and then start to ascend to reach the beautiful and remote Hinku valley. Trail to Hinku valley offers a great opportunity to see the beautiful rhododendron and oak forests. After reaching the Hinku valley, we will explore entire valley, the natural beauty of valley and moreover we will see the lifestyle and cultures of people living in this beautiful valley. Trekking along the Hinku valley will lead us to our destination, The summit of Mera Peak. Moreover, climbing through the icy glaciers and rocky hills will give you the memory that will last for your entire life.
Day 14: Trek from Kothe to Thuli Kharka: this takes about six hours trek.
Day 15: Thuli Kharka to Lukla: via Zatrwa La pass. This is last evening in the mountains, the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with our staff.
