Helambu trek is one of the popular and demanding short trek near the Kathmandu valley and offers the great views of mountain ranges along with an awesome opportunity to explore the unique lifestyle of culture of ethnic Tamang and Gurung people. Located in the Langtang region, this 5 to7 days trek takes the visitors to some of the famous and beautiful places of Langtang region in a very short period of time and in a limited budget. Starting from the sightseeing of some of the highest mountain ranges of our country to getting an opportunity to explore the unique culture and lifestyle of people, Helambu trek has many more to offer to its visitors.

Helambu Trek is especially designed for those trekkers and adventure lovers who wish to trek near the Himalayas of our country but don’t have enough time to be a part of exotic base camp treks. Although adventurous and rewarding but only a few trekkers visit this area which make this place more peaceful and less crowded. Some of the major attractions of this trek are the sightseeing of Langtang National Park and a closer and crystal-clear view of Langtang ranges which will surely amaze the visitors. Sightseeing of the mighty Himalayan ranges and getting an opportunity to explore the lifestyle and culture of the local inhabitants is also another major attraction of this journey.

This exciting journey starts with the sightseeing of some of the famous places of Kathmandu valley. We will then take an hour drive to Sundarijal and then start trekking and reach Chisopani. Trekking ahead through Gul Bhanjyang and Tharepati will take us to Tarke Ghyang. One can do the sightseeing of Himalayan ranges and the unique lifestyle of people during the trail. Trekking down via Melamchi will bring us back to Kathmandu where we will end our beautiful journey.

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival day Transfer to Hotel and free Day.

Day 02: Kathmandu to Sundarijal drive 1hrs and walk  Chisopani(2140m)4 to 5 hrs.

Day 03: Chisopani  to Gul Bhanjyang(2130m)5 to 6 hrs.

Day 04: Gul Bhanjyang   to   Tharepati(3640m)6 to 7 hrs.

Day 05: Tharepati    to  Melamchigaon(2530m)4 to 5 hrs.

Day 06: Melamchigaon  to  Tarke Gyang(2590m)5 to 6 hrs.

Day 07: Tarke Gyang   to Sermathang(2610m)4hrs.

Day 08: Sermathang  to Melamchi(1730m)5 to 6 hrs.

Day 09: Melamchi to Kathmandu 4 to 5 hrs drive by bus.

Day 10: Free Day.

Day 11: Final Departure Day.
