Dashain In Nepal

Nepal is a cultural and religious country. The People Here has been celebrating different festivals from History. Beside them, Dashain is one of them. According to the Nepal Calendar 2075, Dashain starts from Ashwin 24th and end on Kartik 2nd, and is also known as Bada Dashain.

                It is one of the longest and auspicious Hindu Festival of Nepal. It is the festival that brings happiness and delivers the message of unity among people. This festival signifies victory of truth and inception of happiness. During the first ten days, pilgrims are flock to various river confluences early in the morning and sacred shrines in the evening. Ghatasthapana, Phoolpati, Maghaastami, Nawami and Vijaya Dashami are the series of the events under Dashain. People worship the Goddess Durga for nine days.

During this time, People Visit their relatives, friends, Neighbours, etc to put tika accompanied by blessings. Many Animals are also sacrificed during this time. Normally, We can say, this is the festival in which family members, relatives, friends gather and enjoy together and shares good vibes during the time.
