In Nepal, Trekking is generally suitable during the two seasons: Spring and Autumn. The best trekking season is considered to be in autumn(September-November) and Spring(March-May). In the Himalayas, the months following mid-September to mid-December is also considered as best treks.
Spring season is the first best season for trekking in Nepal. It falls from the month of March to May. The temperature in Spring is neither too hot nor cold i.e. average of 16 degrees Centigrade to 23 degrees Centigrade and also the weather condition is very good at that duration. Though the weather is not that stable, also you can observe wild Orchids and various species of flowers. If you are a nature lover and loves to see flowers then this is the best season for you. Around the altitude of 2000m, you can observe beautiful red color rhododendron and other species of flowers blossoming. In this season many tourists love to do Everest base camp trek, Annapurna base camp trek, Rara lake trek, Everest Three pass trek, Upper Mustang trek, etc. These are the most demanding treks in this season. Both short and long treks are available during this time which is also very good for those who don’t have much time.
The Autumn season is also one of the best trekking seasons in Nepal. This season falls from the month of September to November. The weather in the Autumn season is generally warm in the day and cold at night time which means temperate. In this season, most of the mountains are seen very clearly which is also the reason many tourists prefer this season than others. This season is best for the adventure trek in Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Kanchanjungha, etc. Many tourists love this season due to its Tantalising views of mountains. Most of the trekkings are done in this season.
