The trek across the Ganesh Himal is a moderately strenuous one and is located in the Langtang Region of Nepal. The trek trails through the scarcely populated and unspoilt area of the Langtang region with mind boggling scenery and an opportunity to intermingle with the various ethnic populations residing in the area.

A drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi accompanied by scenic views commences this adventurous trek. Proper lodging facilities are present in this Tamang village. The next step is a trek to Khurupudanda Pass through Gatlang and Somdang. The trek from Somdang to Pansang Bhanjyang Pass via Tipling rewards trekkers with exquisite views of mountain ranges of both the Nepali and the Tibetan Himalayan ranges. A descend from here brings the natural hot springs present in the Chalishgaon. This is accompanied by the passage through the pristine oak and rhododendron forests and culturally rich villages. The Gurung village of Chalishgaon is perfect to soothe and ease away the pain in the aching muscles by using the natural hot waters.

Further ascend is carried out to bring the Jharlang viallge and finally the Kirtang Phedi. Kirtang Phedi is the base of the Ganesh Himal and comprises of various lakes which provide a scenic ambience. The trail can be extended to climb the Ganesh Himal as well. Proper acclimatization and good physique however is absolutely mandatory. Further trek can be planned into the Gorkha region or the same path can be retraced to return to Kathmandu. It is to be noted that no fixed itinerary is supplied for the trek and can have many different additions or deletions.

The major highlights of this trek are the large assortment of flora and fauna present in the region. The Langtang National Park commences the trek and Himalayan Thar, Gaur, Pandas and many other animals can be seen en route. Also included are the viewpoints like the Singla Pass, Khurpudanda Pass, Pangsang Bhanjyang, Jaisal Kunda and Jyamrung which are all viewpoints which offer views of the Ganesh Himal along with an assortment of 40 other mountains.
